From Warrior to Rancher Foundation training programs are straightforward to apply for. You need an honorable discharge, a complete service record, and the willingness to show up. No prior trade or agricultural experience required. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Who Is Eligible

From Warrior to Rancher Foundation training programs are open to:

Honorably discharged

Honorably discharged U.S. military veterans from any branch of service.

Complete service record

Veterans who can provide a complete service record.

Any age or income

Veterans of any age, income level, or discharge date, recent or long-term.

  • Prior trade or agricultural experience
  • A college degree
  • A specific discharge date

Program Tracks

Paid apprenticeships in HVAC installation and service, electrical systems, welding, plumbing, and general contracting. Veterans earn industry certifications recognized by NCCER and trade unions. Direct-hire employer connections available upon graduation.
Hands-on training in ranching operations, sustainable farming, livestock management, crop planning, and ag-business fundamentals. Veterans who complete this track may access foundation-managed farmland through our veteran land ownership program

1. Review

We review your application and verify your discharge status, typically within 5 business days.

2. Intake Conversation under pressure

A member of our team contacts you for a brief intake conversation. No formal interview, just a chance to understand your goals and answer your questions.

3. Placement

You receive a program placement recommendation and a confirmed start date.

4. Paid Training

You begin your paid training. You earn a stipend from day one. No tuition. No debt.
